Knifty Knitter projects
Some of you have seen these before, but I'm going to include them here to show off my other hobbies! I love textiles so much - the feel, the colours, the patterns - and with the Knifty Knitter loom I can finally act on all my secret textile fantasies! Being left-handed, learning to knit was always a chore...but no more!
This baby blanket came out smaller than expected. I used the longest rectange loom, which is about 21" wide. I only used one row of pegs, though, and my blanket ended up being only 13" wide. Whoops! It's about 24" long. I used 2 skeins of Baby Lash and about 1 skein of Bernat baby wool. I plan to put this up on etsy; I'll have to take some better photos.

It took about one night to make each slipper from this pattern. The next pair will be better - I couldn't visualize the pattern, so I wasn't sure about a few things. I found that the instructions could have been worded a little better too. I thought that the slippers would be too small, so I made them a little longer...and guess, they're too big! With socks they fit just right. With the next pair might actually try to crochet a cuff and I don't think I would use varigated wool again. It really makes the seam show when sewing them up. I might also make some fleece liners.

This is my second hat and scarf made from Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I think the hat came out a little long. It's about child sized with a matching scarf. I only got a quick pic of it as I gave it to Mom to put in the sales box for next year.

This gray set is made from Paton's Divine yarn, which is acrylic, wool and mohair. My husband wanted a hat, and I was kind of surprised when he picked out this wool. It's super soft! It took about 5 and a half balls of wool to make.
